Learn about the Women Creators Pitch Tournament

Who should apply?


If you're a female creator you should apply. Founders, developers, engineeers, artists, designers, musicians, marketers - are all encouraged to apply to pitch what they are working on.




What are the prizes?


The main competition will award a single winner a cash prize of $750 and over $2,000 dollars of services. Summit Venture Studio is also sponsoring a rush to revenue prize valued at over $1,500. You can opt into the rush to revenue challenge when you apply for the main competition.




Is this pitch contest only for tech startups?


No! We expect musicians, artitist, and non-tech startups to participate. So long as your project can generate revenue and you can put together a business plan you meet the requirements for participating.




Do I have to be a founder to pitch?


No! Any women creator associated with the business can pitch on behalf of the project.




What is the timeline?


March 9 - 18 Applications submission. Applications are due midnight (MST) March 18. March 19 Finalist for the tournament announced. Join us at Lost Eden for the announcement party. March 23 The Mid Day Connect rush to revenue sessions. March 24 Tournament round 1 @ 1 Million Cups March 25 Tournament round 2 March 26 Tournament final @ Silicon Slopes. Join us for the Founders' Friday Women in Tech Mixer




What will I get out of it?


Every female creator will be invited to all events throughout March including the Founders' Friday events on the 19th and 26th. Creators will also get access to a program of sessions to help develop their idea. Every creator is going to meet a ton of cool people, move their idea forward and maybe win some awesome prizes as well.




How do I get ready to apply & submission requirements


Put together a presentation that outlines the following - Why your project/business is important to you and why it's special/unique - Who is your market. Describe your target market in as much detail as possible - How do you plan on reaching this target market - What is your plan over the next 6 months to move this business forward Intial submissions can be a presentation deck or video. The presentation length should be no more than 10 mins. If you are selected as a finalist from your online submission we'll follow up with more instrcutions on the pitch tournament.
